Legs of Silk!

Let's face it. Hairless legs are hard to come by. All the effort spent shaving and the next morning there is that dreaded stubble. Many women just say "Forget it!" Shaving every other day of the week just isn't worth it. Prickly and static legs are just something that have to be dealt with.

I for one can't deal with stubble though. If its -20 and there is no chance of anyone catching me out of some yoga pants then maybe I will let it go a few days but I am a fleece pajama pants person and the static is just something I can stand. So here is one variation I made of the 100s of different exfoliant scrubs on the Internet. It leaves your legs hairless and silky if you do it right. And if you are lucky you might only have to shave once or twice a week.

Silk Sugar Scrub
2 cups of white granulated sugar
3/4 cup of vegetable or olive oil
3 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice
Few drops of essential or massage oils

Mix the sugar and oil until it is a silky smooth consistency and then add the juice. Once all of that is combined add the oil to your fragrance preference. If the consistency is too runny or thick add sugar or oil until it is the texture you prefer. As for the oils, I use massage oil for two reasons; the fragrance isn't as strong and it is a bit more gentle rubbing on your skin.

Process:

Start a hot bath or shower and do your usual (shampoo and washing etc). That will leave enough time for the hair on your legs to soften.
Shave your legs with just soap and water (you can do a messy job here as long as the majority of the hair is removed)
Next take a small scoop of the scrub and rub it into your skin.
Shave off the scrub with your razor. This will catch all the ingrown and straggling hairs you didn't get the first time as well as removing dead skin. This should  make your shave last a few days before any signs of stubble.

Rinse, dry and lotion up. :)

This is what I use.

This is the finished product.
